CRPF Running Football Tourney concludes

Imphal, December 09 2011: The final match and the Closing Ceremony of the Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF, Running Football Tournament - 2011 was held today at Langjing Achouba Football Ground.

The closing function was graced by Y Joykumar Singh, IPS, DGP Manipur Police as Chief Guest.

Officers, CRPF personnel with their families, family members of Shaheed Manoranjan Singh and civil populace of Langjing Achouba also attended the closing ceremony.

The final match was played between YLFA, Yurembam and TLSN, Nambol in which TLSN, Nambol won by 3-1 goals in the penalty shootout after playing a goalless draw.

N Premkumar of YIFA Yurembam was adjudged Best Goal Keeper, Anand Kumar of BRC Bamdyar the Highest Scorer and Ngouba of TLSN, Nambol as the Best Player.

The three prizes carried a Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs 3,000 each.

The Winner of the Tournament TLSN Nambol bagged a Running Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs 30,000 sponsored by Dr Bijoychandra of KBS Brick Industries in memory of his father Late K Birjit.

YIFA Yurembam bagged the Runners up Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs 20,000 sponsored by Memcha, mother of Shaheed Manoranjan. A draw of the raffle was also organised to commemorate Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF, Running Football Tournament with 1st Prize-Laptop, 2nd Prize-LED TV, 3rd Prize-Sony Handy Cam, 4th Prize-Sony Digital Camera (Three Nos) and 5th Prize-Wrist Watch (Six Nos).
