Imphal, June 15 2009: MIIS collected thee gold medals in the 5th Governor's Cup State Level Fencing Championship 2009 at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium today. L Sujata of MIIS defeated team-mate M Sayalaxmi to win gold in Cadet Girls Foil.

K Cherish added another gold to the team's kitty by winning the Cadet Girls Sabre event.

She beat S Hiron of UPAA in the final.

The day's third gold of the team was won by K Meghanath in Cadet Boys Sabre after beating team-mate M Kamal.

Cadet Boys Epee event was won S Roshan of UPAA.

The silver medal went to L Araba of MIIS.

Teammates W Nephajit and W Roshan of SAI-RC won gold and silver in Cadet Boys Foil.

Cadet Girls Epee event was won by A Devala of (YDC) as L Niranda of MISS settled for silver.
