TRAU-NEROCA to play for Tiddim Trophy title

Imphal, January 31: Last year�s finalists SSU, Singjamei bowed out of the 4th Sarajeevan Tiddim Trophy football tournament after hosts TRAU carved out a solitary goal win to set up summit clash against NEROCA, Shangakpham.

The final would be played on February 2 at 2 pm at Mapal Kangjeibung.

In the second semi final today, the SSU-TRAU tie remained deadlock with about quarter of an hour from end until Seikhohao Tuboi provided the breakthrough for the host team.

A Ninja Kabui throw-in from near the centre found Helun whose prompt cross to Seikhohao saw the striker find the SSU net in the 67th minute.

Reigning champions NEROCA had defeated AMOFA by a solitary goal yesterday to seal the final berth.

The Shangakpham side had also won in the inaugural edition of the competition.
