Students demand resignation of principal

Imphal, April 09 2011: Students of DM College of Science today staged a sit-in protest demanding resignation of their principal, Dr P Ranabir Singh.

They alleged the principal of violating rules in the admission of 2nd year semester students.

As per the admission which comes into effect from 2010, students need no admission in the 2nd semester of the TDC (Three Degree Course).

The rule clearly indicated that students need admission at 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters, protesting students of 2nd semester of the college pointed while alleging the principal of violating the rule.

They also demanded immediate refund of the admission fees the college authority had collected from the 2nd semester students and threatened to close the administrative block of the DM College of Science if their demands are not address by the authority at the earliest.
