Imphal, October 29 2012: Greeting the Zeliangrong communities, especially the Liangmais on the auspicious occasion of Chagah Festival, MLA Z Kikhonbou Newmai has wished that the festival brings peace and harmony amongst the different communities and sanctify the spiritual, physical, educational and social aspects of the people in the years to come.

In his greeting message, MLA Z Kikhonbou Newmai stated that during the Chagah Festival, which is celebrated every year on October 30, people of all walks of life share the delicious foods which were produced and harvested during the year.

In this festival, a man has to maintain traditional santification rules for the well-being of his life throughout the year or lifetime.
