GOC briefed on militancy issues

Imphal, October 22 2009: GOC 3 Corps Lt Gen NK Singh arrived at Imphal today on a day's visit to review the prevailing situation in Manipur, conveyed an AR PRO release.

The GOC was received by Commander of 9 Sector AR Brig SK Jha and Col Vijay Sahgal of IG AR (S).

The Corps Commander then proceeded to Somsai, Chassad and Sehlon where he was received and briefed by respective Commanders and Commandants about the latest militancy related issues and also the civic actions programmes.

Later Lt Gen NK Singh visited 21 Assam Rifles at Kakching.

He left for Nagaland later in the day, added the release.
