Imphal, February 28 2009: The proscribed KCP has claimed that Yumnam Rakesh alias Ibudhou of Lilong Chajing Keithel, shot dead by security forces on February 23 was not a cadre of KCP (MC) but its own cadre.

A press release issued by KCP's secretary of public relation department Tabungba Meitei alleged that Rakesh was done to death after subjecting him to severe torture.

He was picked up by a security team from his own residential gate in the afternoon of February 23. The outfit has condoled the demise of the comrade by observing two minutes' silence and offering floral tributes and gun salute, conveyed the release.
