Imphal, August 04 2009: A Slow Loris which was chased after by two dogs last night at around 8 pm was saved by one youth identified as Wahengbam Jiten son of Thomba of Bishnupur ward no-11 .

The Slow Loris which is commonly known as Yong Ikaithibi claimed up to the inside roof of the house of Jiten when dogs chased after him.

The one hand of the animal fractured in the struggle with the dogs but Jiten treated it with a local doctor.

Jiten is keeping the monkey at his home and it will be handed over to the zoo authority, he said.
