Imphal, February 24 2009: Atleast three persons on board have been killed when a stones-laden Tata truck (ML-01/3285) fell into a gorge at Mao along Imphal-Dimapur Road.

The unfortunate incident occurred at around 6 am today at a spot in Chakumei village , 12 kms south of Mao Police Station, according to police sources at Imphal.

The deceased have been identified as driver Taikho Asoli (37) of Tadubi and two labourers namely Reboo Deb (18) and Noonu Singh (25).The labourers were originally from Silchar but staying at Mao Gate.
