Imphal, February 22 2009: The proscribed KCP has alleged that Wahengbam Chingsanglakpa alias Premjit s/o Ibochouba was killed by Thoubal police commandos and 34 Assam Rifles in a fake encounter.

A statement issued by information and publicity Secretary (KCP) H Poirei contended that Premjit, a 16th batch MFL cadre of the armed outfit, was picked up from the Kakching Manarei Pareng Ward No 5 residence of his grandmother on February 18 noon by the combined security force team and the body abandoned the next day in between Thoubal and Ikoppat.

Terming the alleged extra-judicial conduct of the security forces as enforcement of sinister agenda of the Central Government to eliminate Manipuris, both armed and innocent, and a testimony of denying justice to the people, Poirei expressed that the masses are well aware of such tactics applied by the security forces.

It also conveyed of sharing pang of the bereaved family.
