Imphal, October 06:
The Motor Vehicle Coordination System installed at the State Crime Records Bureau under the aegis of National Crime Records Bureau to identify stolen and illegal cars is yet to provide any benefit to the public due to disapproval by the State Government.
The system has been laying idle since last year.
By paying just Rs 20, any one can verify the authenticity of a vehicle using this system.
Even as the SP of CID Crime Branch has written to the State Government to launch the system, there has been no positive response so far, says a report.
