Imphal, October 11 2009: Band parties participated in march-pass competition on the occasion of observance of birth anniversary of Janneta Hijam Irawat on September 30 and Mera Houchongba ceremony were felicitated at a function organized today by the All Manipur Band Party Association at Manipur Press Club.

The felicitation function was graced by retired IPS officer, W Damudor as chief guest and general secretary of All India Trade Union Congress, L Sotinkumar as guest of honour.

The function was presided over by president of the association and serving as subedar in the Manipur police department N Gomai.

In the function, first position holder in the march-pass competition in the Irawat birth anniversary celebration function, United Band Pary Association, third position holder Sanaleibak Band Institute, Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai and band party participated in the Kwak Tanba Festival, Mera Men Tongba, Ibomcha Band Party, Khurai Ningthoubung were felicitated with gifts.
