Imphal, August 08 2009: Col Rajeev Panwar, CO 12 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) attended a function organized by the villagers of Phange and Chassad villages on August 4.The Battalion has provided furniture, ration etc to the needy villagers.

The program was followed up by sweets distribution to the children of the villages.

The villagers whole heartedly praised the noble gesture of "The Assam Rifles" and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for such a noble help, an IGAR (S) statement stated.
