Imphal, February 24 2009: The Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy Students'Union (JNMDASU) in a written memorandum to the Governor of the state called for an urgent action within next week as the functioning of the academy is out of order since long time.

The statement said that the academy has been running without any of its Director till date and presence of the in-charge of the director once or twice in a month obstructed all developmental works of the academy.

Most of the faculty posts of the academy are still remaining vacant unfulfilling systematic learning in the academy.

The payment of pensions and regular salary of the staffs and teachers for the past three months are pending.

The Syllabus Committee has also not completed its findings which is posing a severe blow in proper functioning of the deem University.
