Imphal, June 23 2009: Human Right Alert (HRA) in association with department of clinical psychology and the psychiatry of the Regional Institute of Medical Sceince (RIMS) have launched a five-day workshop with the theme "Towards Restoring Lives: Practical Assesment of Torture Victims' Profile and Intervention today as a prelude to the UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture which would be observed on 26 .

Prof.M Akshayakumar, head of the deparmtent, department of Clinical Psychology welcomed 12 tortured victims and their care givers on the occaison.
