Imphal, June 15 2009:
The All Manipur Government Higher Secondary Lecturers' Welfare Association (AMGHSLWA) has decided to move to the court with regard to the non-clearance of salaries of the teachers for three consecutive months.
A decision in this regard was taken in a general body meeting of the AMGHSLWA held today at Johnston Higher Secondary School stating that state government has humiliate the rights of teachers by not clearing salary by issuing "illegal order".
A statement issued by Senior Lecturer of Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School, M Joykumar expressed believe that the case will be filed within this month with the prayer of dismissing the orders issued by the state government with regarding to the blocking of the salaries.
The meeting has also resolved to organize a mass cease work action on June 20 decrying the government attitude of suppressing the teacher community.
