Imphal, June 30 2010: Residents of Waikhong Chingdon Leikai of Thoubal district today praised officers of the police department for providing TV sets and power generator to enable them to watch live telecast of ongoing world cup 2010 soccer matches.

In a press note dispatch to the media they praised the DGP, Senior SP, Thoubal district, SDPO Sugnu and OC Waikhong police station of the district for providing an LCD colour TV set, one 1000 watts generator and a TATA sky dish TV to the public of Waikhong Ningthou Manai Chingdong Leikai to enable them to enjoy live matches of the ongoing world cup 2010 in South Africa.

The generous act of the police officers has been laudable and appreciated by the locals, the press note stated.
