TDDDC urges all National and Regional political parties

Imphal, February 28 2009: The Thoubal District Development and Demand Council (TDDDC) has urged all National and Regional political party authorities not to file a candidate with a motive of Naga Unification in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency for the coming Lok Sabha election.

A release issued by the TDDDC president, Sougrakpam Roben Meitei said that candidates who sincerely desire to preserve the territorial integrity of Manipur must be fielded by all political parties of the state in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency.

It said the TDDDC may even resort to take decision for the prohibition of political conversion apart from boycotting the coming General Election in Thoubal District and Jeribam subdivision of Imphal East.
