Imphal, August 19 2010: Assam Rifles Unit at Ukhrul under the aegis of 10 Sector is set to construct a bridge over Chamu river in Chingai sub-division.

According to a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S), the bridge would be constructed under the BADP programme and would enhance the connectivity of the remote villages in Ukhrul district with NH-150 .

All the formalities for the construction of the bridge have been completed ready to construction at the earliest, the press release added.
