Imphal, March 05 2009:: The 10 JAK LI of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) handed over water supply schemes to the village chiefs of Phaijang and Molcham.

The water supply schemes have been constructed under the AR's MCA Project.

The work began in December 2008 and comprise of building water tanks in the villages, laying pipes from the water source to the tank and provision of diesel-powered water pumps.

The completion of the water supply scheme have come as a big relief to the villagers who earlier had to walk long distance to fetch water for daily use, informed PRO Assam Rifles in a statement.
