Imphal, March 05 2009:: Special Secretary Cabinet P Bharat has despatched a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer seeking clarification on the propriety of the Governor's address to the inaugural session of the 5th session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly slated to begin on March 17.Following the missive, the Joint CEO has also written a letter to the Election Commission today itself seeking information in this regard.

However, there is no report on the response of the Commission to the letter till the filing of this report.

It may be noted here that MPP had also written a similar letter to the Chief Elec- tion Commissioner of India in this regard yesterday.
