Imphal, October 31:
Taking serious note of premises/facilities of State and Central Government offices/institutions being used for events whose purpose are 'patently' anti-Govt and directed against bonafide policies/laws, an order circulated by the Government (Chief secretary) has asked heads of offices/institutions to ensure proper scrutiny of the organisers and purpose of any events before allotting space.
Premises/facilities of the Govt are primarily meant for bonafide official use and while there may be objection to their usage by private parties for socio-cultural and educational purposes, it should be ensured that they are not allowed to be used as a platform against the Government, prescribed the circular.
