Imphal, February 19 2009:
The JAC constituted in connection with the murder of Th Kishan, A Rajen and Y Token and the Apunba Lup have appealed to the people to continue with their agitation but without any communal tinge until and unless the murderers are punished.
Addressing a press meet jointly organised by the Apunba Lup and JAC this afternoon, JAC functionaries appealed to the people not to spread rumours.
They maintained that the JAC will continue the ongoing agitation in coordination with the Apunba Lup and the people until the perpetrators of the barbarous crime are punished.
Assistant coordinator of the Apunba Lup Elangbam Johnson said that appealed to the people not to spread rumours in connection with the murder as spreading and blindly believing rumours may result in communal misdeeds.
Apunba Lup functionaries urged upon the State Government to bring the culprits to book at the earliest.
They asserted that the State Government's decision of handing over the murder case to CBI smacks of irresponsibility.
Apunba Lup convenor Sunil Karam asserted that the NSCN (IM)'s clarification about its non-involvement in the murder is only a lie aimed at deceiving people.
