The victim of the rape case of T Phaijol today received some soothing balm from the State Cabinet as IFC Minister N Biren and IPR Minister TN Haokip personally met the victim and shared the trauma she underwent.
The Cabinet Ministers were here to have a first hand account of the incident and to share the grief of the young mother, as delegated by the Chief Minister.
Talking to various student and women leaders before personally tendering their grief to the victim, the Ministers said the Government in no uncertain terms condemn the beastly acts of the armed men.
Taking note of the threat perception given to the villagers of T Phaijol subjected following the disclosure of the rape, the two cabinet ministers also visits the village allegedly to weight the feasibility of stationing a security outpost.
Despite the high profile visit, no official negotiation has been initiated to address the various demands presented by KSO/ CCpur.
Nor was there any decision to station security outpost at the village.
KSO has presented atleast three memorandums, including one meant for the Chief Minister to the visiting ministers.
N Biren who is said to have been delegated by the Chief Minister who is presently at Guwahati for a crucial meeting, while TN Haokip is the local representative.
