Imphal, October 04: Setting the record straight, the Working Committee of the Apunba Lup today stated that the decision to continue the fast at Delhi was taken by Sharmila herself and there was no instigation from anyone.

Speaking to reporters today, the co-ordinators of Apunba Lup said that the media was kept in the dark over the release of Sharmila from custody yesterday as part of a strategic point worked out.

Straight on reaching Delhi, Sharmila offered tributes at the Gandhi Samadhi at Rajghat, met the media and then resumed her stir at Jantar Mantar, said the co-ordinators.

Members of MSAD are keeping her company.
