On the second day of the black badge agitation being launched by Democratic Students'Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) in pursuance of the demand for awarding befitting punishment to the killers of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Th Kishan and his two sub-ordinate staff, volunteers of the student body distributed black badges among the students of the educational institutions located along Mayai Lambi today.
Wearing the black badges, the students attended their classes expressing solidarity to the public demand for awarding befitting punishment to the killers of Dr Kishan and his two subordinate staff namely Aribam Rajen and Yumbam Token.
Talking to mediapersons on the sideline of distributing the black badges at Brilliant Public School, Little Master English Higher Secondary School and others in Samurou area today, publicity secretary of DESAM KC Ibomcha who led the team said that a student the incident of killing Dr Kishan and his two sub-ordinate staff is reprehensible.
Such incidents of killing innocent people have also disturbed the mind of the students from peaceful concentrating in their studies.
Taking serious note of the matter, DESAM has launched the agitating to press for taking up necessary legal action against the killers of Dr Kishan and his two sub-ordinate staff, Ibomcha said, while appealing to the students to attend classes wearing the black badges distributed to them.
Decrying the failure of the Government to act and arrest the killers inspite of knowing who were behind the killing, the student body has also demanded the Chief Minister to resign from his post.
