Imphal, January 23: To ensure effective traffic control and regulation for the Republic Day celebration on January 26, Director of Transport issued an order today.

According to the order no vehicle except of the VIPs and the invitees would be allowed to ply toward North of Singh & Co, Moirangthem on National Highway 39, Keishampat to Khwai Bazar, Maharani bridge, Dukanthong, Babuthong and Khoyathong to North AOC and Sanjenthong to Western Gate of Kangla and Keishampat bridge from 6.30 am to 12 noon of January 26.Further, there would be one-way traffic from South to North and no vehicle would be allowed to ply from North to South.

As for the diversion points, all the vehicles coming from Singjamei side shall be diverted from New Thumbuthong bridge towards Kongba side and will proceed upto Palace Compound and park there.

All the vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal side shall be diverted from Khagempalli road towards Kwakeithel-Tera-Naoremthong-Uripok Canteen Leirak Road and Sanakeithel, Lamphel.

Similarly, no vehicle would be allowed to cross new Keishamthong wooden bridge from Mayai Lambi road towards Yaiskul side.

No vehicle would be allowed to cross Elang Leikai hanging bridge from Mayai Lambi towards Yumnam Leikai side.

All the vehicles coming from Tiddim Road shall be diverted from Kwakeithel Bazar towards Tera Bazar-Naoremthong-Uripok canteen road and Sanakeithel Lamphelpat.

All the vehicles coming from New Cachar Road may be parked at Sagolband Moirang Leirak parking.

Trucks shall be diverted from Tera Bazar-Naoremthong-Canteen Road and Sanakeithel, Lamphelpat.

All the vehicles coming from Kangchup side shall park at the western side of BT Road over fly bridge barricade.

Vehicles coming from Dimapur side shall be diverted from Chingmeirong Khongnang Karak toward Central bus terminus or Watham Leirak, Thangmeiband.

No vehicles would be allowed to proceed from Khongnang Ani Karak towards North AOC.

Vehicles coming from Ukhrul/Tinsid Road side and Pangei side shall be diverted from Minuthong toward Hatta and Palace Compound/Khuman Lampak bus terminus.

Vehicles coming from Nongmeibung/Andro and Yairipok side shall be stopped at Andro Parking near Bheigo saw mill and parked there.

No vehicles is allowed to proceed from Palace Gate traffic points towards Sanjenthong bridge.

All buses/trucks proceeding towards Thoubal side shall be diverted towards Kiyamgei Lamkhai via Khongman, Bashikhong and Kiyamgei.

All vehicles like jeep, car, scooter, luna, etc carrying passengers to witness the function be parked at Lairembi Lampak near Keishampat Junction, in front of Session Court and Palace Compound.
