Imphal, February 20 2009: Taking serious note of the brutal murder of SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan and his two staff in the most macabre manner, the proscribed KCP (MC) has accused Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pal of being behind the bestial criminal act.

A press release issued by the outfit's military affairs secretary Lanheiba Meitei accused the DC of showing no concern when the SDO and his two staff were abducted from the gate of DC office straight after a meeting with the DC himself on February 13 .

People's suspicion about the DC's possible involvement in the whole conspiracy to murder the SDO and his staff has been validated all that more as it has been known that Pankaj Kumar Pal took leave the next day (February 14) conspicuously ignoring the abduction of his subordinate officer and staff.

Even as the seven army battalions deployed under 57 Mountain Division and 22 Assam Rifles battalions deployed under IG AR (South) have been allegedly killing many innocent people of Manipur while some armed groups based in hills have been repeatedly targeting many other innocent civilians, the KCP (MC) lamented that the State Government is still unable to amend its alleged servile attitude towards New Delhi.

Sharing the sorrow and anguish being endured by the bereaved families of Dr Th Kishan, A Rajen and Y Token, the outfit appealed to all concerned not to repeat such brutal murder in future.

It also maintained that all those involved in the heinous crime cannot be absolved under any circumstances.
