Despite being the fourth mobile phone service provider to launch service in Manipur, India's leading mobile services provider - Bharti Airtel has achieved a record of one lakh customer in the State in a short span of 21 months, said a release issued today.
Recounting that Airtel marked its arrival in Manipur in May 2006 and has so far become the fastest operator to touch the one lakh customer mark in the State, the release highlighted that such a landmark is a significant one considering rugged and difficult terrain of North East where it has over 12 lakh customers.
Specifying its presence and network infrastructure, the release said Airtel has over 100 towers in manipur alone with 14 channel partners, over 1200 retailers and nearly 600 PCOs across the State all contributing to boosting local employment which is 100 percent in Manipur, as well as enhancing the telecom infrastructure in the State.
While sharing further details on its coverage in the entire country, the release conveyed Airtel's commitment to provide customers with superior network and world class service as well as cover remote and far flung area of the state in the near future.
