Moreh, June 30 2010:
An Indo-Myamnar basic contact field level officers meeting on drug control was held at Immigration office Myanmar today.
Moreh Additional SP Y Ashokumar and Officiating Superintendant of Tamu police station, Aye Myint Kyi presided over the routine meeting convened after every three months.
Speaking at the meeting, Aye Myint Kyi said that some persons are being detained at Mandalay with around 6000 Namcol tablets.
He added, it is known to Myanmar police that the drugs were sent by one Thanga (40) and Thangsei (32) of Moreh.
He said, Cold-Go, Actipin, Alzolam, Lorfast D, Broxid and Brokut are some of the Indian medicines which are used as drugs in Myanmar.
Superintendent of NCB (RU), RK Ibungosana, Customs Inspector H Haokip, NAB Inspector Kh Birchandra, Customs Preventive Force RK Darendrajit and Captain P Kastgir of 31 Assam Rifles were also present in the meeting.
