All these cases have come up following the verdict of the main case passed on June 23, 2005 at the Principal seat by Justice D Biswas.
The ruling asked the State Government to hand over the findings of the C Upendra Commission which probed the incident to the Union Home Ministry.
It had ruled that the Ministry should examine the findings and take appropriate action against 17 AR men if they are found guilty according to the probe report.
Another source disclosed that owing to the pending of all cases, the State Government is yet to furnish the probe report to the Union Home Ministry.
Manoramas family had already filed a contempt petition on the ground that the authorities had not complied with the earlier ruling that asked the Government to punish the 17 AR personnel if they are found guilty by the Upendra panel.
The Assam Rifles filed an appeal against the June 23 ruling on the plea that the State Government has no legal authority to set up an inquiry commission to probe the personnel of Central forces.
On the other hand, the State Government too filed an appeal against apart of the June 23 ruling praying before the court to allow the State to take appropriate action against the guilty AR personnel without furnishing the probe report to the Union Home Ministry.
