Imphal, April 17 2009:
The proscribed KCP has celebrated its 29th raising day anniversary at its general headquarters on April 14.The outfit was founded on April 14, 1980 .
The main celebration organised by the 29th anniversary committee at the outfit's Ghqs was graced by its Deputy Chief of Army Staff Kriti as chief guest and CO in-charge of the outfit's Training Centre (TC) 11 2nd Lt Khuman as functional president.

Addressing the function Deputy Chief of Army Staff Kriti said that UNLF, KYKL and PREPAK brought together the fragmented groups of KCP and they played a pivotal role in re-establishing a united KCP after holding a congress from October 20 to 23, 2006.With that, the outfit drafted its own constitution and started functioning in line with it.
Going on the offensive against KCP (MC), Kriti said that the same group did not attend the party congress.
Alleging that the KCP (MC) was constituted by security forces, Kriti accused the group of scheming to strain the relationship between revolutionary groups and the people.
The same group has also been working to present all insurgent groups as terrorist organisations, he asserted.
However, the KCP has not fallen into the trap laid by security forces, Kriti said while pledging that the outfit would never allow itself to fall prey to the conspiracies of security forces.
Observing that all revolutionary organisations have been growing in strength with the help of the mass, Kriti said that MFLs have procured necessary weapons.
Now with the outfit becoming a well established group, other parties have been showing due respect to KCP, Kriti said.
Alleging that it has become accustomed nature of police commandos to give the name of the outfit after killing innocent civilians, he further accused other security forces of harassing people.
They have been trying to beguile people saying that they come to Manipur because of insurgents and that they would go back if there was no insurgent.
The hardships and difficulties being endured by the people will be over only when soldiers of the Government of India leave Kangleipak and the land made independent, the Deputy Chief of Army Staff asserted.
Talking about grooming a healthy society in Kangleipak, Kriti said that the party would fight against drug abuse while promoting indigenous sports at the same time.
Exuding confidence all the people of Kangleipak can be self-reliant, he exhorted that it's time to keep the agricultural fields green all the year round by cultivating rice at least thrice in a year.
Kriti also hailed women MFL cadres who started cultivation and production of rice since last year.
With different organisations of Kangleipak still remain egocentric, these organisations have not been able to form a united body.
As they cannot unite together, they could not tackle small splintered groups broke away from different organisations, he observed.
The problems of splintered groups can be effectively tackled only when the existing organisations unite together, he asserted.
Claiming that MFLs have successfully evolved into brave soldiers, the Deputy Chief of Army Staff said that the outfit is preparing its MFLs to build up the capacity to strike at the security forces one day after learning and practising several battle tactics.
Receiving the guard of honour given by MFLs, Kriti also unfurled a seven coloured flag.
TC 11 CO in-charge 2nd Lt L Khuman opened the anniversary celebration by lighting up the inaugural lamp.
One minute silence was also observed in honour of the departed souls of the party's comrades.
The celebration culminated with a joint feast.
Dance and music were also presented by party comrades in the evening.
Apart from the main function held at its Ghqs, the KCP's foundation day anniversary was also celebrated at different places in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur and Chandel districts.
