The second anniversary of the Kangleipak Fingang Lanmee (KFL), the armed wing of KCP (Military Council) was celebrated befittingly at a base camp with commander field captain Tompok Meitei of the Ist Lanjaba Tenggol unfurling the seven-colour flag of the outfit on August 3, according to a statement issued by Lanheiba Meitei, secretary, military affairs of KCP (MC).
At the occasion, captain Tompok Meitei read out the message of the Chief of Military Council detailing the dos and don'ts of the Fingang Lanmee and advised all the Fingang Lanmees to maintain strict discipline.
Along with amending the 'conventional constitution' of the party, new programmes and policies of KCP (MC) have also been worked out and pledges taken with the main objective of strengthening the cause of the Military Council, the statement said.
Emphasising on the need for a communist party in Kangleipak to bring about a change in the social setup, the statement went on to say that to make the armed wing of the communist party invicible, to understand the issues of human rights, to analyse International conventions, to understand war strategies and chart out plans accordingly, are still imperative.
Pledging to carry on the struggle and follow the path shown by all those who have laid down their lives, the statement said that over the past two years of establishing its armed wing, KCP (MC) has experienced ups and downs and lives of many precious cadres have fallen into the treacherous hands.
However, as long as KCP (MC) remains faithful to its policies and programmes, even those who were considered enemies would realise and may join hands in the struggle against the common foe.
Observing that living in Kangleipak today is like living in a battlefield, the statement said that many innocent people are being killed by the security forces at their sweet will and questioned how far the Govt would be able to protect these killers who have no qualms over shedding the blood of their own kinsmen in the face of mounting public anger.
Taking serious note of the recent fake encounter incident in which the security did not even spare a pregnant woman, the statement demanded the Government to initiate necessary action against the guilty police commandos with understand of the pulses of the people.
Conceding that there can be no peace in an armed conflict zone, the statement, however, also pointed out that the other facet in an armed conflict zone where the Government agents and their hirelings deliberately created difficult situation for the people to live in peace.
So to ameliorate the difficulties of the people, the revolutionary groups should work closely with the people, the statement said, adding that it is with the support of the people that KCP(MC) and its armed wing have been able to gain strength all these years.
For this KCP (MC) would always remain indebted to the people of Kangleipak, the statement said, while seeking the suggestions of the people on the activities of KCP (MC) and its armed wing.
