Amidst curfew, Union DoNER Minister Mani Shankar Aiyer is all set to arrive here tomorrow on a two-day visit to the State.
However, in view of the prevailing tense situation, the Centre and the State Government have been closing monitoring the situation.
Disclosing this to The Sangai Express, an official source informed that the State Government has made necessary preparation for the visit of the Union DoNER Minister Mani Shankar Aiyer along with three officials here tomorrow from Shillong where they would be attending a meeting of the North Eastern Council.

As the Union Minister is expected to arrive here from Shillong at around 4.30 pm tomorrow, the Chief Minister as well as the Chief Secretary convened separate meetings with all the officials concerned of the State Government and necessary preparation for the landing of the helicopter in which the Minister would arrive either at Kangla or Tulihal Airport have been arranged.
On his arrival at Imphal, the DoNER Minister would attend a review meeting of the Backward Region Plan Fund along with Deputy Commissioners of Chandel, Churachandpur and Tamenglong districts at the conference hall of Old Secretariat.
During his two-day visit, the Union Minister would also visit Moreh in the morning of February 22 to inspect in connection with setting up of an Integrated Check Post for development of ongoing border trade between Myanmar and India.
Ahead of the Union Minister's visit to Moreh, Additional Chief Secretary PL Thanga has been already camping at the border town and the Industries Minister would follow suit tomorrow.
On returning from Moreh at around 9 am on the same day, the DoNER Minister would laid the foundation stone of the Rs 26 crores project of setting up Inter-State Bus Terminus near the current bus terminus at Khuman Lampak.
The State Transport Department has made necessary preparation in connection with laying the foundation stone of the proposed bus terminus.
After laying the foundation stone, the DoNER Minister would interact with the Congress workers at Congress Bhavan.
Meanwhile, in view of the intense situation prevailing in the State, the Centre and the State Government has been closely monitoring the situation keeping in mind the proposed visit of the Union Minister.
