Even as they came past many police and security check-posts along NH-53, they were never told about the necessity of PAPs to enter Manipur, the foreign tourists claimed.
They were fined Rs 500 each by CJM Imphal today.
The Court directed the Swiss Nationals to go back taking the same route along which they entered Manipur.
They would be leaving Imphal tomorrow.
Fabian Kung said that they left Switzerland on October 5 on a tour to Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Thailand.
After covering Bangladesh, they were heading for Thailand through Manipur.
Saying that nobody told them about the need of PAPs for entering Manipur, the Swiss tourists conveyed they did not encounter any problem even in high intensity conflict zones of Pakistan.
"What happened to us in Manipur is the first problem we face in our long tour", they said while adding that they were preparing for this tour for the last two years.
