The JACs against the killing of Rabina and Ch Sanjit have stated that justice will not be delivered by arresting innocents but to fulfill the demands of the Apunba Lup, JACs and the people will surely pay dividend.
In a joint statement, the JACs against the killing of Rabina and Sanjit conveyed that the challenge pose to the movement by some section through the media has been seriously viewed by the two JACs.
It also stated that arresting innocents instead of trying to bring solution to the problem is not the right step.
It pointed out that the statements of the JACs are issued after fertile reflection and they are not personal.
It added that the agitations will not die down even if all members of the JACs are arrested.
The statement also pointed out that an 84-year old man has been hospitalised due to fear in seeing the police commandos who went to arrest the JAC of Sanjit yesterday.
It held that the SPF government will be held responsible for any outcome.
The statement also termed the act of spreading pamphlets by people from Thoubal Leishangthem and Thoudam denying their involvement in the agitation as unfortunate.
It asserted that the divide and rule policy will not break the ties of the people.
