Imphal, March 30 2009:
A school teacher in Imphal East district has been found attending school during the days of curfew imposition when every body fears to step out of their home.
The Special Investigating Team (SIT) of the Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF), under its academic campaign 'Eikhoi Lairik Ningtheena Tamshi,' had found the teacher attending school during the curfew imposition days during its continuous academic campaign.
"It is not believable that a teacher from Imphal area would attend school during curfew days when everybody is scared of going out from their home," the SIT convenor L Rojit said while addressing media persons today.
A teacher of Khundrakpam Chingsu High School under zone two of Imphal East district has been found signing on the attendance sheet during the days when curfew was imposed to control the tense situation prevailing in the wake of the killing of Kasom Khullen SDO, Dr Kishan and two other staffs.
Another teacher of the school has also been found appending his signature in the attendance sheet till March 31, the SIT convenor pointed out.
L Rohit also informed the teachers of the school to turn up to the MSF office within three days to discuss the matter with them.
