Imphal, December 11 2009: Member secretary of the Central Silk, Union ministry of textile, Sheityabati who was on her two day visit in the state today assured that all require materials for the commencement of second phase of the Manipur Sericulture Project will be provided for early commencement of the phase.

Sheityabati left Imphal for New Delhi concluding her visit in the state.

She arrived here in Imphal to inspect functioning of the externally aided Manipur Sericulture Project taken up in the state.

During interaction with media persons at Hotel Imphal before leaving Imphal, she said the first phase of the project had been completed.

Central Silk Board has received a proposal for the commencement of the second phase from the state government.
