Starting their Delhi mission, members of the Political Party Forum Against AFSPA who had gone to Delhi recently have started knocking at the doors of the Central political leaders and are likely to meet the Prime Minister and Defence Minister tomorrow to present their case.
The team from Manipur also met the Delhi Police Commissioner as well as officials of the Union Home Ministry and Irom Sharmila today.
Speaking to The Sangai Express a source from Delhi said that the anti-AFSPA team has started meeting leaders of the NCP, CPI, CPI (M), RJD and others to help them in repealing the Act from Manipur.
The team from Manipur is likely to meet the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and Defence Minister tomorrow.
On the other hand, the Delhi Police Commissioner personally visited Sharmila at AIIMS today to inquire about her condition.
A number of officials from the Union Home Ministry also visited her.
Following the deterioration in her health, nose feeding of Sharmila was started from last night itself at AIIMS.
As her condition has slightly improved, she has been shifted out from the emergency ward to her previous room.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, Sharmila's elder brother Singhajit said that officials of the Union Home Ministry visited her today at 11 am and urged her to take care of her health.
Later in the afternoon at about 2, the Delhi Police Commissioner also visited Sharmila and asked where she would go if she was released.
To this Sharmila answered that she would continue with her hunger strike at Jantar Mantar.
Sharmila was shifted to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital at 9.30 pm today.
