New Delhi, December 05:
Respecting her stand that she be left alone and to discontinue the nose feeding following the non-committal stand of the Prime Minister on AFSPA, Sharmila today is confined alone in the new private ward at AIIMS while her elder brother and others have preferred to stay put outside the gate of the hospital.
This has been happening since December 2 evening.
Since no has gone near her, the condition of the woman on a fast for the last six years is not known to anyone and already anxiety has started to grip the students from Manipur studying at Delhi and her supporters as well.
Singhajit, the elder brother of Sharmila put it succinctly when he said, "She may be my biological sister but today she is a daughter of the people and whatever decision she takes will be hers for the sake of the people." The elder brother said that he does not know in what condition Sharmila is and added that he has to rely only on the vague information passed out by the security personnel and the doctors.
