Imphal, February 28 2009:
The Kuki National Front while strongly condemning the killing of Dr Th Kishan, A Rajen and Y Token conveyed appreciation to all concerned for maintaining communal harmony.
A KNF statement issued by its information and Publicity secretary LH Stephen opined that those who carried out the heinous criminal act had intended to create communal hostility as was evident from the abduc-tion of the three from Ukhrul district and slaying them near a Kuki village.
patience of the victims' community and maturity of leaders of social organi-sations involved in the movement for punishment of the culprits are the crucial factors for defeat of the evil design schemed by the killers, Stephen maintained and expressed hope organisation concerned would award befitting punishment to those involved in the brutal murder of the three.
urging all concerned to ensure such sinister act is not committed in the future and to abstain from intentionally fanning communal disharmony, the KNF statement added that 'such acts of pitting one community against the other will only destabilize Manipur which is against the interest of the people living in Manipur'.
