The three students' bodies � AMSU, MSF and KSA � which spearheaded the four-month long class boycott agitation against the July 23 incident, have appealed to the authority concerned not to collect fees from students for more than a month of the class boycott duration.
This was stated by the representatives of the three student bodies today during a press meet at the MSF office located at Palace Gate here.
President of AMSU, Irengbam Jamesbond Mangang, president of MSF, Md Atabuddin, and president of KSA, Yumnam Pradipkumar were present during the press meet.
Speaking on the occasion, Md.Atabuddin, president of MSF asserted that the class boycott agitation launched by the three student bodies against the Khwairamband incident of July 23 should have its merits and demerits. He said, the agitation was withdrawn against the backdrop of people raising their voice to save education even as the demands are not met.
He said that the people lack patience.
The intended results of the agitation could have been achieved when all sections of the people begin to tolerate the agitation.
He added that the reson behind the launch of the agitation is worth pondering.
Atabuddin said, parents should give tuition fees and transportation fees of students for only one month.
He said, school authorities should not collect fees for the period of the class boycott agitation.
He informed all concerned to give information to the student bodies in case of school authorities trying to collect fees for the whole period of the agitation.
