Imphal, October 09 2011: In yet another incident of phone dating gone awry, a 23 years old teenage girl was raped and abandoned by her phone lover.

The incident occurred at Yairipok Bishnunaha October 4 .

The victim Meena Begum (name changed) was dating Md Yunush (21) son of Md Bashir Loubuktongbam from Sora Idigah under Kakching Police Station for quite some time.

On the fateful day, Md Yunush asked her to meet him and took her to a remote farm house at Yairipok Bishnunaha and raped her against her will.

He then asked her to elope with him and left her on the pretext of arranging a vehicle.

He also took her mobile phone and an amount of Rs 600 from her.

The matter came to the knowledge of local Meira Paibis when they saw the girl sitting alone till evening and enquired about her situation.
