The RK Sanayaima Memorial Charitable Trust, Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai today extended monetary helps of Rs 10,000 each to the families of victims of fake encounter, Thokchom Rabina, Ch Sanjit and to severely injure Naorem Prakash in the follow up people's agitations today.
Naorem Prakash of Langthabal Kunja who took part in a protest agitation on the night of August 6 last had detached his right retina when hit by a bullet, treated at JN Hospital has flight to New Delhi today for medical treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Before leaving Imphal for New Delhi, a team of the trust led by chairman, RK Shivchandra today visited JN Hospital, Porompat where severely wounded this morning and handed over a cash amount of Rs 10,000 to family members of N Prakash, treated at bed no.13 of the ENT.
The trust also extended monetary assistant of Rs 1000 to another person, Dev Bahadur of Ragailong who injured in police action to quell protestors.
Later, the team went to the house of the deceased Chongtham Sanjit who was killed by the police commandos in July 23 fake encounter at Kongpal Sajor Leikai and Thockom Rabina at Lamshang Lamdeng Bazar handed over Rs 10,000 each to the families as help.
Speaking to the reporters after handing over the monetary assistants, chairman of the trust RK Shivchandra said, the trust extended the helps to the victims so as to keep a habit of extending help to the suffered people in the people agitations.
He further expressed shocked on hearing that in the effort to treat Prakash, the family even sold out paddy fields.
He also appealed to the other people to extend help to the suffering family.
The trust which was founded under the name of his late father will extend help to the people who suffered in people agitations and injured in any untoward incidents, the chairman went
to say.
