Imphal, March 30 2009: As the Lok Sabha election gets nearer, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today held a meeting at the Chief Minister's bungalow tonight to discuss how the party's candidates in both Outer and Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituencies can win the election.

Sources said the meeting which was presided over by Chief Minister O Ibobi discussed the ways and means of making the two party candidates win the election.

It was reportedly resolved that all Congress ministers and MLAs must contribute to their best level to work for the party's candidates.

Since the election to the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency would be held first, tonight's meeting chalked out the strategies to make the party's candidate Thangso Baite win election, the sources said.

The meeting also discussed various strategies to make the candidate for Inner seat, Dr T Meinya win the election.

However, the Ministers and MLAs decided to hold meetings from time to time to discuss the emerging campaign developments as regards Dr Meinya.

The replacement of Prof N Mohendro by Th Chaoba as MPP's candidate was also brought up at the meeting and opinions were shared, the sources said.
