Imphal, January 27 2009: IMPHAL EAST district police commandos yesterday recovered a huge haul of SP capsules estimated to be the value of Rs 80,000 from a house during a raid conducted at Hatta Golapatti here.

According to police, the district police received a reliable information yersterday afternoon that some persons were pushing drugs in a cladestine manner in Hatta Golapatti area.

A team of Imphal east police commandos led by Sub-Inspector, Y Oken conducted a search operation in the said area and recovered the SP capsules which were put in glasses, jugs and children's toys in the house of two brothers identified as Md Yumkhaibam Ibungo (34) and Md Sahiuddin (32), both sons of late Md Tomba.

The SP capsules would fetch Rs 80,000 at the market price.

Police said, the office bearers and members of the United Clubs Organisation, Golapatti extended help to the police team in conducting the search.
