After staging a sit-in protest in Ukhrul Bazar, frontal Tangkhul social organisations have urged the concern authorities with urgency to book the culprits involved in the killing of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Th Kishan and his two subordinate staffs.
The apex body of the Tangkhul community, Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) or Tangkhul Students' Union, Tangkhul Shinao Long (TSL) or Tangkhul Women Organisation, TMNL and TNWL in a joint memorandum submitted to state chief minister O Ibobi through the deputy commissioner of Ukhrul which was made available to NNN today demanding that the culprits involved in the killing of the SDO and his two staffs should not be allowed to go scot-free but book them at the earliest possible time and award them with appropriate punishment according to the magnitude of their crime.

Dina president of Tangkhul Shinao Long (TSL), PR Jordan, president, of Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), Zanjo Varam, president of TMNL and K.Kaphungkan, president, TNWL termed the killing of the SDO and his two subordinate staffs as 'brutal murder' and inhuman.
"The Tangkhul apex social organisations while condemning with the strongest term the recent brutal killing of the late Dr Th Kishan and his two staff personnel and while once again sharing the deep sorrow of the families of the victims submit this memorandum for your promptness," mentioned the memorandum of the Tangkhul organisations to the chief minister.
"That the recent brutal killing of Dr.Th.Kishan, SDO of Kasom Khullen block and his two staff personnel by anti-social elements has created social unrest in the state of Manipur which is lest unabated can lead to further deterioration of the present situation.
The state administration with its machinery of state police, intelligence and with the support of the public should be able to book the culprit with an out effort instead of letting them go scot-free after committing such a heinous crime," added the Tangkhul organisations while adding, "That even though the state cabinet has decided to hand over the case of the brutal murder to the CBI the law enforcing authority of the state should immediately take up the case and proper investigation should be conducted at all relevant level without waiting the hands of the CBI for investigation".
The memorandum also said that the whereabouts of the three staff personnel namely Ransing Keishing, Ramthing and Kaphungkhui Jajo who were abducted along with Dr.Th.Kiahsn on that fateful day should be traced out immediately.
"Let the entire episode of the brutal murder case come out to the light so that any unwanted situation that may arise out of this incident could be avoided peacefully amongst all the cross section of the people in the state," asserted the missive to the chief minister with a conclusion, "Therefore this memorandum be treated urgent and utmost effort be given in the interest and goodwill of the people".
