The Senapati District SEGP Association, Manipur has appealed to all the SEGP loanees of 2005 to 2009 of the district to prepare to clear the instalment amount and pay it on time without delay when the authorised recovery agent's team comes for collecting the same.
President of the Association, MB Moses informed that in case the loanees fail to pay at the stipulated time, the MSCB's authority shall recover the loan from the guarantor or as per the agreement made at the time of availing of the loan.
As such, the guarantors of various SEGP loanees are also asked to take the intiative in repaying the same.
In a press release, Moses stated that some ignorant people were spreading rumours somewhere in the district that the SEGP loan has been waived off by the Central government, which is totally wrong.
Any person found spreading such rumour shall be held responsible for recovery of the said loans.
The village authority/headman concerned, the state government and Central government authorities will intiate necessary action on this regard, warned the press release.
