The Extra Judicial Executions Victim Families Association Manipur (EJEVA) today welcome the exposure made by Tehelka and announced that the body will extend all sort of support to the agitations launched by the Apunba Lup.
The body held a press conference at the house of the Longjam Utamkumar who was killed by the security forces at Keishamthong Longjam Leikai today.
Speaking at the press conference Longjam Meena, mother of Utamkumar and also publicity secretary of the body said that they are satisfied with the exposure made by the Tehelka on killing Chungkham Sanjit in fake encounter.
They are hated with the chief minister, O Ibobi since their families fall the misfortune of killing in fake encounter and have been seeking justice in the incidents which government did not hear.
But now Tehelka has exposed the truth behind the police commandos killing people in fake encounters.
Members of EJEVA also expressed wonder when government remain silent even after the fake encounter of the police commandos exposed clearly asking whether government could suppressed the people by imposing curfew.
Is Ibobi feeling fear when declared the identity of the police commandos involved in the extrajudicial killings? Nothing could be benefitted while he remained stuck with the chief minister's chair.
It will be better to resign from the post if he has the gut of being a true leader of the people.
The body also announced that they will extend support to all forms of agitations launch by spearheaded by the Apunba Lup.
