State has huge prospects in health care tourism: DGP

The IX Dermazone East and VIII Cuticon- Manipur 2011 organised by the IADVL, Manipur State Branch commenced here at the 1st Battallion Manipur Rifles Banquet Hall today.
The inaugural function of the IX Dermazone East and VIII Cuticon- Manipur 2011 was graced by DGP Y Joykumar as the Chief Guest, Dr Karam Lokendro, President, IADVL, Manipur State Branch as the President and Dr Ramesh Bhat M, National General Secretary, IADVL as the Guest of Honour of the function.
Speaking on the occasion, DGP Y Joykumar said that Manipur with its gift of nature bounty and the pleasant and moderate climate can attract a lot of tourist.
Apart from all these the state also has huge prospects in health care tourism.
Lots of people from outside the state have come to Manipur to avail the health care services of the state.

Coming down to the law and order situation of the state, DGP Y Joykumar said that the situation has improved to a considerable extent and more efforts is being put in for further improvement.
He also emphasized on the deployment on the NH 37 so that essential commodities can be procured.
